73 Countries, 25 Years of Building at the Edges

I grew up in the wilds of Canada with no electricity or running water — fishing through the ice, curing salmon in our smokehouse, making goat cheese from our annoying family pets, and fighting bears for saskatoons every spring.

That beginning set the trajectory. I've spent the last 25 years going to the edges of the world to understand how things actually work — first as an extreme whitewater athlete exploring rivers nobody had run before, then as an entrepreneur building at the intersection of regenerative agriculture, bioactive nutrition, and ancient food science.

Along the way I've lived and worked in 73 countries, played basketball in the hinterlands of Cambodia, farmed wild boar on an island in the Mekong, been held by jungle tribes, and done business with foreign governments.

Today I'm building Beeghee®, a hive-fermented superfood brand produced in Mexico and selling across North America, that turns insect agriculture into human nutrition through fermentation traditions that are thousands of years old.

I also host Bad At My Religion, a podcast exploring why people of every faith struggle to live their beliefs authentically — interviewing religious leaders and devoted practitioners from around the globe.

I'm building an integrated new digital platform for Venturopoly, with a Life OS Dashboard app and an emerging markets network for founders, investors, and operators to build in public, called SovereignHub.

I recently launched Conversational Living Library, an AI tool that lets people engage with someone's entire life's body of work through conversation.

The thread connecting all of it: I'm obsessed with going to the source, whether that's a Class V river in Ecuador, a monastery in Myanmar, or a fermentation lab in Tasmania.

Topics I can speak to:

  • Adventure, risk, and what extreme sports teach you about life and business
  • Regenerative agriculture and the future of food (insects, fermentation, the "Waste to Soil to Superfoods" vision)
  • Faith, philosophy, and the universal struggle to live authentically
  • Building businesses across cultures — 25 years of living and working in emerging markets
  • The Conversational Living Library — AI as a tool for advancing human legacy
  • Geopolitics from the ground (not the armchair)
